A significant moment is approaching at btv technologies: Our company founder and long-serving Managing Director Julio Ortega is taking his well-deserved retirement after 32 years of dedication, innovation and tireless commitment.
His vision has taken btv technologies from a garage in Lingen an der Ems to a leading logistics and service provider in the electronics industry.

The history of btv technologies is a classic start-up success story.
At the beginning of the 1990s, the first orders were still packed on wallpaper tables and shipped in banana boxes.
But in its very first year, the company, which was founded as a trading company, generated an impressive turnover of DM 5.3 million.
What began as “component sales” developed via “procurement, scheduling and sales” into today’s “Bridging Technology and Service” – this perfectly describes the evolution of our business philosophy.

Julio Ortega has made btv technologies what it is today: a unique logistics and service provider for semiconductor manufacturers and industrial customers. It was clear to us right from the start: “We are different.” With our revolutionary concept of “component logistics as a service”, we have changed the industry. Our tak model sets new standards in supply chain management, eliminates unnecessary middlemen and optimizes the cost structure, ensuring security of supply and avoiding downtime. Whether procurement, programming or long-term storage – our customers only pay for the services they really need. Transparency and fairness are always our top priorities. This innovative concept, coupled with the highest quality standards and many years of expertise, makes btv technologies unique.

However, it was not always easy to get there: we overcame challenges that threatened our existence, such as a complex ERP conversion and the strategic realignment of an important customer, thanks to our strong team spirit and passion for our work.
Today, we are stronger than ever, are expanding internationally and are delighted to have recently entered into a partnership with Mercedes-Benz, which has been a minority shareholder since the end of 2023.

The future of btv technologies is now in the hands of Maximilian Krane and Sven Vogel.
They will continue to lead the company with the same pioneering spirit and “focus on service” that has characterized us from the very beginning.
